Bắc 1 chảo khác lên bếp, cho 1 muỗng canh đường vào chảo chưng đường. Sau đó cho thịt vào đảo đều để thịt có màu vàng đẹp, thêm chút nước vào xâm xấp mặt thịt. Nêm 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm, ½ muỗng cà phê muối, 1 muỗng đường, 1 muỗng canh nước mắm.
Khi nước thịt sôi thì cho đậu vào, để lửa liu riu để đậu thấm gia vị. Khi thịt và đậu đều chín và ngấm thì cho hành tỏi vào đảo đều.
